The 2022 Ayunta Etna Blanco Piante Sparse is a rare Etna DOC white wine from Sicily, Italy, made from scattered white grape varietals like Carricante and Catarratto that are planted within old red grape vineyards. The \”Piante Sparse\” or \”scattered plants\” concept refers to the labor-intensive process of separately harvesting andvinifyingthese individual vines, resulting in a unique wine with pronounced minerality, freshness, and citrus notes, often produced only in the best vintages when the grapes can ripen evenly.
