Discover the Essence of Irish Oak

Experience the unparalleled craftsmanship of Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kylebeg Wood (Tree No. 6). This exceptional whiskey is a true testament to the rich heritage of Irish whiskey-making. \”Dair Ghaelach\” translates to \”Irish Oak,\” and this whiskey is finished in casks made from virgin Irish oak grown in Kylebeg Wood on the Ballykilcavan Estate, near Stradbally in Co. Laois. Each sip tells the story of Ireland\’s heart, with the oak imparting a unique flavor that harmonizes beautifully with the classic Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey character.

Aroma

Immerse yourself in the fragrant woodland spices, with prominent notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. Aromatic oils and earthy pot still notes blend seamlessly, while delicate hints of nectarine add a zesty fruit note. The sweet nature of the whiskey is further accentuated by aromas of dairy fudge and vanilla.

Taste

The influence of Irish Oak is evident in the heightened intensity of pot still spices, enriched by rich wood tannins. As the spices subside, velvety tones of caramel, sweet stewed apple, and touches of orange peel emerge. Dark chocolate, subtle notes of honeycomb, and vanilla weave amongst the spices, creating a complex and delightful flavor profile.

Finish

Enjoy a delightfully long finish, where the fruits and spices slowly fade, allowing the Irish Oak to linger until the very end. This whiskey offers a truly memorable tasting experience.
