Very Secret Speyside 26 Year Old 1998 Little Brown Dog 50.2% 70cl

A frankly stunning secret Speyside release from celebrated independent bottler Little Brown Dog (we have it on reasonable authority that its Glenlivet). The single malt was distilled back in 1998 and has been maturing ever since in a single bourbon barrel. As the LBD team says, they dont often bottle expensive whiskies. But the cask came as part of a parcel and, on tasting, they couldnt resist it. Just 245 bottles will ever be released, and theres something celebratory about the vibrant chocolate, coconut and fancy pear notes. Delightful.

Nose Beaumes de Venise, candy floss, bounty bars.

Palate Crme brul, poached pears and grand cru Malibu if such a thing were to exist.

Finish Toasted coconut and fizz wizz popping candy.
